Capabilities

Paul has been trained in the use of the following models:-

• WRATE (the Environment Agency published Life Cycle Assessment Tool to determine carbon impacts and other environmental impacts of waste collection, recycling, treatment and disposal systems)


• KAT (the WRAP Kerbside Assessment Tool for recycling, food waste, AWC collection options etc, to determine both the cost and performance of different systems)


• Waste Flow Modelling – to determine the strategic effects of waste management policies and operations Paul has developed a bespoke waste flow model

Paul has facilitated workshops for the purpose of consultation, engagement and as briefing sessions to elected members or officers.

Paul has developed numerous municipal waste management strategies in accordance with Government guidance and good practice.

Paul is trained in Sustainability Appraisal.

He has delivered numerous (repeat) training courses to the Ministry of Defence and local authorities and also lectured on part of the MSc Sustainable Waste management Course at the University of Southampton.
